Void Fighter – Controls & Core Mechanics Guide
✅ I. Basic Controls
1. Movement
-
← / → Arrow Keys: Move the fighter left and right

No vertical movement restrictions
2. Shooting & Color Switching
-
Q (Red) / W (Blue) / E (Green)
-
Press to fire bullets of the selected color and instantly switch your fighter’s color
3. Shortcut Functions
-
ESC: Pause the game (Resume / Return to Menu)
-
Enter: Fix input method issues if keys become unresponsive
4. Upgrade Selection
-
When the upgrade window appears, press 1 / 2 / 3 to select a skill
-
Alternatively, click directly on the corresponding skill card with the mouse
✅ II. Core Combat Rules
1. Same-Color Damage Only
-
Only bullets matching the enemy’s color can deal damage
-
Bullets of different colors are completely ineffective
2. Damage Priority
-
When hit by enemies or bullets:
Shield absorbs damage first → Health is reduced only after the shield is depleted
3. Instant Defeat Conditions
-
Direct collision with a BOSS
-
A BOSS breaking through the defense line
→ Immediate game over
✅ III. Health & Shield System
1. Health
-
Starting health: 10 HP
-
No automatic regeneration
-
Can only be increased via HP +2 upgrades, which also fully restore health
2. Shield Core Rules
a. Shields are unlocked and upgraded via Shield Capacity + skills
-
Each upgrade immediately restores the shield to full capacity
b. If the shield takes no damage for 5 seconds, it automatically regenerates 1 point
-
Shield value cannot exceed its maximum capacity
c. Health reaches 0 → Game Over
-
Shield depletion does not cause death; damage will then apply directly to health
✅ IV. Level-Up & Skill System
1. Level-Up Trigger

Every 100 score points grants 1 level-up

Choose 1 of 3 random skills
-
No level cap; power continues to scale throughout the run

Chain Lightning (kills trigger chained damage)

✅ V. Enemies & Wave System
1. Enemy Types

Normal enemies: Small / Medium / Large
-
BOSS enemies
-
Enemies fire bullets to counterattack

Higher waves and larger enemies have increased attack speed, health, and movement speed
2. Wave Structure
-
Each run consists of 4 waves
-
Enemy count increases with stage progression
-
Wave 4 is the final BOSS wave
-
Defeating the BOSS completes the stage
3. Wave Transitions
-
A short cooldown occurs after clearing each wave
-
The next wave starts automatically; no manual input required
4. Failure Conditions
-
Too many enemies breaking through defenses
-
Health reduced to zero
→ Game over (restart the current stage)
✅ VI. Score & Skill Unlock System
1. Score Acquisition
-
Earn score by defeating enemies and BOSSes
-
Score-boosting skills increase score multipliers
-
Score is saved in real time
2. Skill Gacha Unlocks
-
Every 1000 score points grants access to the Skill Roulette
-
Spin to unlock Locked Skills
-
Unlocked skills are permanently added to the skill pool for the current and future runs
3. Pre-Run Skill Selection
-
Before each run, choose 5 skills from your unlocked pool
-
All level-up options during the run will be randomly drawn from these 5 skills only
